As a National 4A grade scenic spot, Lulin Mountain Scenic Spot is a core scenic spot in Dahongshang Scenic Area which is authorized as national scenic area together with Zhangjiajie and Jiuzhaigou Scenic Spot. It covers 120 square kilometers and is located in southern Dahongshan and Lunlin Town. It is composed of Lulin Hamlet, Beauty Valley, Yuanyang Stream Drift, Kongshan Cave, Lulin Ecological Tourism Resort, etc.
Lulin Mountain is not only where the second famous peasant uprising in the Chinese history--Lulin Uprising occurred, but also where Hanwu Emperor Liu Xiu gained power. It is a comprehensive scenic spot which is composed of ecological tourism, meeting, leisure and outward bound. It is authorized as “one of the most popular tourism destinations for foreigners”, “one of the most influential scenic areas”, “the best ecological scenic area in the 60th anniversary of China”, and “the most popular scenic area in western Hubei”.
